    The next day, head north to some of King Island’s best-known coastal sights. Walk along the sweeping sands of Martha Lavinia Beach, visit peaceful Penny’s Lagoon and take in the rugged scenery of Disappointment Bay. Afterwards, continue to Cape Wickham, where the 48-metre lighthouse rises above the northern coastline. You will also visit Cape Wickham Golf Course, with its impressive views across the Southern Ocean.

    After breakfast, continue to Melbourne Airport for the short flight across Bass Strait to King Island.

    Your King Island experience begins with a warm welcome on arrival, followed by a short transfer into Currie, the island’s main township.

    Enjoy a guided tour of Currie, introducing the town’s history, landmarks and coastal setting. This provides a relaxed introduction to island life and a chance to become familiar with the township before checking into your accommodation.

    After settling into Island Breeze, take some time to unwind and enjoy the peaceful island atmosphere.

    This evening, enjoy a welcoming dinner at Wild Harvest Restaurant, bringing your first day on King Island to a relaxed close.

    After breakfast, set off to explore King Island’s spectacular northern coastline.

    The day begins with a stop at Reekara Top Shop for morning tea, with an opportunity to browse and purchase locally made arts and crafts.

    From here, continue to Quarantine Bay and the sweeping sands of Martha Lavinia Beach, where rugged coastline, open ocean and long stretches of sand create one of the island’s most striking coastal settings.

    Lunch is enjoyed beside Penny’s Lagoon, a distinctive perched lake surrounded by peaceful natural scenery.

    The afternoon continues with more of northern King Island’s best-known sights, including Martha Lavinia, Disappointment Bay, the iconic Cape Wickham Lighthouse and the spectacular Cape Wickham Golf Course, dramatically positioned above the Southern Ocean.

    After a full day of exploring, return to Island Breeze for a rest before heading out for dinner at the King Island Golf & Bowling Club.
