Parliament House High Tea & Guided Tour – A Grand Day in Brisbane | 10th November 2026

A tiered tray with sandwiches, pastries, and scones sits on a table with pink teacups, a teapot, and sparkling drinks—perfect for relaxing after your Port of Brisbane Tour—surrounded by white flowers and greenery in the background.

High Tea, History and Heritage in the Heart of Brisbane

Queensland Parliament House High Tea is one of Brisbane’s most elegant and unique experiences — and we have your seat! Join us on 10th November 2026 for a special day out in the heart of Brisbane. We take care of every detail. So all you do is show up and enjoy.

First, we pick you up from your door with a comfortable coach travel between Maroochydore and Caloundra. A morning comfort stop is included along the way. On arrival in Brisbane, Parliamentary staff escort you from the foyer directly to the beautiful Strangers’ Restaurant inside historic Queensland Parliament House.

Indulge in High Tea Like No Other

Next, you settle into one of Brisbane’s most stunning heritage dining rooms. The Strangers’ Restaurant sits inside the old Parliament House building, built in the 1890s. The room is full of charm and character. It features original cedar chairs, timber floors, and beautiful Victorian-era details. In short, it is elegant, historic, and utterly lovely.

Then the High Tea begins. Savour a selection of handmade sweet and savoury treats, made fresh by the Parliamentary chefs using local Queensland produce. Choose from a pot of loose-leaf tea or a freshly made coffee. Throughout lunch, live classical music fills the room. It is refined, relaxed, and a joy from start to finish.

Explore Queensland Parliament on a Guided Tour

After High Tea, a staff member takes the group on a free guided tour of Parliament House. The tour runs for about 45 minutes. As a result, you get a rare and special look inside one of Queensland’s most iconic buildings. You discover the history, the architecture, and the stories behind this grand old landmark.

Finally, this is a relaxed day designed just for you. The Funtastic Tour Company looks after every detail. You simply sit back, sip your tea, and enjoy every moment with great company.
