Dayboro and Old Petrie Town

What a fun day!!

We travelled through the small settlements of Peachester, Stanmore, Woodford and Delaney’s Creek, to Dahmongah Lookout Park at Mt Mee. This spectacular lookout boasts panoramic views of the Glasshouse Mountains, coastline and the Brisbane CBD. It is absolutely breathtaking and very much worth the drive! We then traveled to The Pit Stop Café for morning tea, and browsed through local crafts and memorabilia of various cars and motorcycles.

Dayboro was our next destination. This township boasts an art gallery, pub, and several craft and gift shops – and we definitely supported their local economy!!

We then headed to Old Petrie Town to dine at the 1950’s inspired Emporium Rock and Roll Milkbar. This diner is a must for Elvis fans, with the walls adorned with music memorabilia and memories from the Rock and Roll era! After a long leisurely lunch, we made our way home to the Sunshine Coast.
