We strive to always stay at quality accommodation, eat delicious food (yes, we’re both avid foodies), do fun and interesting activities at places we either already enjoy or expect to enjoy.
Because we believe ‘rushing’ has no place in a healthy lifestyle, our adventures are purposely scheduled to allow plenty of relaxation and wandering. We value simply ‘being’ and allow time to reconnect with ourselves as well as connecting with others. Quite often, the best times are had sitting around a table having meaningful conversation – no matter where we are in the world!
Meet The Owners
Sib & Trev
Growing up on the family farm at Drillham, 385km west of the Sunshine Coast, Trevor started share-farming in 1989, after returning from an 8-month agricultural exchange in Montana USA. At about this time he also started his dedication to community service through Apex Australia.
Born in Germany and growing up in Sydney, Sibylle spent 8 1⁄2 years with the NSW Police Department, working at various Police Stations in Sydney and rural NSW. Deciding hospitality would be more suited to her personality, Sibylle spent many years working in holiday resorts in Cairns, Port Douglas, Ayers Rock and Norfolk Island.
Our two worlds collided when we met at the Birdsville Races in 1992 and married 2 years later.
We moved to Chinchilla and started Trevor Austin’s Contract Farming in 1998. Sibylle focused on being a full-time mum while working in the office of TACF and pursuing her passions of personal development, community service and dabbling in various entrepreneurial activities.

We both love meeting people, are family orientated, community minded, JPs, enjoy traveling and feel our entire lives to date have been a wonderful adventure and an apprenticeship for this business.
After 21 years, once our girls were living their own fabulous adventures, Trevor Austin’s Contract Farming was sold to pursue a sea-change. We purchased Over 50’s Adventure Tours in June 2019 and took the opportunity given by COVID-19 to rethink, rebirth and rebrand into The Funtastic Tour Company.
We excitedly look forward to creating more connection, friendships, fun and laughter… one adventure at a time.
